I think Tiger’s moving out of professional golf would be a big blow to the game and PGA would be hit hard. Tiger actually had admirers even among non-golfers and many people would watch the game just for the sake of Tiger. Now that he has declared to move out of professional golf, it is to be seen if PGA as well as the other tournaments adopt to any damage control mechanism.

The win by Fisher was one that was a close win to Anthony Kim, who came in second place. The World Match Play is known as one of the most difficult courses on the tour, specifically because of the 36 holes that are on the course, as well as the physical and mental challenges of the golf arena. Even though the demands were placed throughout this game, Fisher came ahead because of an eagle at the 22nd hole and a birdie in the next hole. This placed him in a 3 up lead.

These two main moves by Fisher allowed him to stay in the lead, while putting Kim behind with some critical swings that were missed throughout the course. This included two misses on short putts and several misses on the stretch. However, he tried to gain his move on the green by rallying on the 18th hole and a birdie putt on the 24th hole. Even though this allowed him to gain some strength in the competition, it wasn’t enough to put him in first. The challenges and every swing counting in this final led to a strong finish by Fisher.

Because of this particular win, Fisher has now earned $1.1 million and has switched places in the European Tour to 3rd place. The competition for this particular tour will continue with global challenges next week in the World Golf Championships in Shanghai China and the Kiwi Challenge in New Zealand.

Matteson’s victory was one that not even he was expecting while he was playing the Frys.com course. His main faults happened at the 17th and 18th holes, both which he bogeyed and left open for both Fowler and Lovemark. He recovered from this by a birdie in the second hole for the overall win. His game throughout the weekend kept this same change in focus. On Thursday, he fell behind with a 2 – over 72. Both Friday to Saturday, he changed his focus, which led to 61s, which is one of the lowest scores recorded on the tour. The later combination of plays that Matteson scored led to his overall championship win. At the same time, this led to a fierce competition because of the struggles in the 17th and 18th holes.

For Lovemark and Fowler, their turn into second and third place is one that will keep them in the competition, even though they are low on the scoreboard. For Lovemark, this placement makes him eligible for the Q-school in North Carolina. Both scored an average of 64s, which kept the competition close, especially for the tie places after Matteson. Next week will bring in a new set of champions for the PGA Tour Confidential with the Viking Classic, to be held in Madison Massachusetts. The win is for $3.6 million and was held last year by Will MacKenzie.

This win that Woods walked away with on this golf course was one that put him in the lead with the assurance that came with every shot.Woods won by a total of eight shots ahead of the other competitors on this course. He finished the course at 19 – under 265 to give him the lead. This was combined with his break in the course record with 62 in the third round and a close of a 3-under 68. These scores have led to Woods’ 10th win in the PGA Tour this year and his 71st win overall.

The runner up to Tiger Woods’ victory was Jim Furyk, who came behind with a 66, which allowed him to move to the third slot in the PGA Tour from spot 18. Even though this victory completely belongs to Woods, Furyk is planning on taking his best shot at the up and coming golf courses to challenge Woods to the end of the tournament. His recent move into place #3 is one that he holds with high hope for the next round of championship. Jim Furyk was followed by Marc Leishman, who holds third place in this round.

The next golf championship is not being disclosed by the officials of the PGA Tour. Experts are saying that this will be located outside of Hudson for this particular competition. For those playing in this tour, this leads to a new set of challenges and alterations that can lead the final results of the tour to a different direction.

The number one rank that is currently in position for the Fed Ex Cup is Tiger Woods of the USA. His total points for this event are at 4,381. Following close behind in second rank is Steve Stricker whose points are now at 3,105. Heath Slocum is in third with 2,855 points, followed by Zach Johnson at 2,229 points and Kenny Perry at 2,075 points, all strong golfers from the United States. However, the labor day weekend games have brought in several changes to the leaderboard, as well as tighter scores for the FedEx Cup and the PGA Tour.

The players who are a part of the Fed Ex Cup are showing strong competition that is linked to the PGA Tour. These members are now tying up the rounds in Boston at the TPC golf course. This is currently being played with the Deutsche Bank Championship, which is making the competition move into a closer point system that will determine who will take the lead for the Fed Ex Cup.This is being observed particularly for Steve Stricker, Reitief Goosen and Sean o’Hair, all of them very nearly taking over the leader board in the second and third rounds of this competition.

The PGA Tour is expected to continue next week in Lemont, Illinois with the BMW Championship. The players will be working to out beat last year’s champion, Camilo Villegas. To end the rounds for September, will be the TOUR Championship in Atlanta, Georgia from 24-27 of September to add in an extra challenge to the tour and to the winning of this cup and the $7.5 million attached at each location.
