The setup is one of the most important aspects to look into while planning a power drive. You want to make sure that you are able to hit your ball with the maximum power through your preparation. One of the common tactics that are used to hit harder is to aim your swing to hit the ball directly or slightly up from the driver. If you are having problems with this, then you should consider where you are standing. Typically, positioning your ball by your left heel will give you a better setup, combined with a wide stance that can easily help you to gain power, maneuver and tilt your upper body behind the ball.

Once you have your stance and your positioning set, then you want to prepare your swing. When you move back in the swing, you want to concentrate on how you are going to hit the ball from the top of the swing. One of the key ways to make sure that you are able to hit your ball correctly is to shift your weight to the back foot and to tilt your body toward the top of the swing. The specific positions that you should begin to look into should include continuous practice of the setup, top of the swing, back swing and release. The more you are able to position and shift weight correctly, the more likely you will be able to get the momentum you need for a stronger drive.
