If you are just beginning to get into golf, then you have probably noticed that there are certain physical requirements. If you don’t exercise and prepare for the course, then you may have difficulties and potential to suffer from injuries. If you want to tone up and get ready for the course, then considering wrist, forearm, shoulder and back exercises can assist you in getting better hits. Focusing specifically on the arm and shoulders at least three times a week is a simple way to gain strength and dexterity for beginning and advanced players.

If you are beginning arm and shoulder exercises, then you want to make sure that you focus on the different muscle groups independently. To start, you will want to add in muscle dexterity to your upper arms with a focus on both the biceps, or front area, and the triceps, or back part of the arm. Bicep curls are an effective option, combined with tricep kickbacks. With these, you will use dumbbells and will focus on a repetitive movement by moving your arm straight back or curling them forward.

You will also want to focus on different areas of the shoulder to assist you with your swing. You will need to divide these exercises by the front, middle and rear area of your muscle with different moves. For the front area, you can do a lateral raise by lifting your arms straight to your shoulders with the assistance of weights. For the middle proportion a shoulder flexion is one of the best options, which consists of lifting weights straight in front of you. The rear portion of your shoulder easily gains muscle with movements such as the reverse fly, which is done by pulling your shoulders back and your arms straight to the side.

Doing these simple movements three times a week can help you to build your strength so you can get more out of your golf swings. You will find that this will lead to better hits and more competition on the course. The tone and muscle that you are able to build can then work to build up your stamina on the green.
